Job Title: Licensed Massage Therapist

Function: Capable of performing customized massage therapy sessions in which the quality of touch, flow, pressure and draping is safe, professional and therapeutic.

Job duties:

  • Greet clients in a professional, friendly manner and designs a specific massage plan based on the client needs after reviewing the client health intake form with each client.
  • Ensures clients forms are filled out completely before session begins.
  • Perform 60 (up to 90 minute) minute quality massage session within their scope of training and utilizing draping policies.
  • Complete accurate and legible client SOAP notes.
  • Creates an excellent experience for guests & members through a present therapeutic touch and friendly attitude.
  • Promotes the health and wellness benefits of massage specific to each client and recommends frequency and self-care suggestions.
  • Safeguards client information and confidentiality.
  • Executes professional boundaries and does not engage in dual relationships with clients.
  • Maintains a professional clean appearance of self and clinic by wearing a clean uniform, following the table dressing & draping policies and keeping the therapy room clean.
  • Assists in maintaining cleanliness of the facility, especially the treatment rooms and the break room
  • Participates in regular meetings and trainings, especially if on hourly pay.
  • Effective interaction with front desk staffs to promote and optimize scheduling and customer service

Job requirements:

  • Must have a current massage license
  • Must adhere to local and state licensing laws and regulations.
  • Must carry personal liability insurance.
  • Completed a minimum of 500 hours of education.
  • Understand and believe in the healing benefits of massage therapy and bodywork.
  • Customer service oriented and able to communicate effectively with clients, clinic management, fellow therapists and sales staff.
  • Able to work evenings and weekends.
  • Participates in continuing education to improve effectiveness (preferred).
  • Satisfactory results of background and reference check is a condition of employment in this position.
  • Knowledge of and experience in performing Swedish and Deep Tissue Massage required, as well as willingness to learn and perform the other modalities offered by Tranquil Body Care
  • Reliable, on time attendance. Attends all scheduled shifts, is prompt to work.
